You have to have at least 5 players per team with two female players playing in the water at all times. You can have several subs if you like. Make sure you register on a team at one of the pool sessions.
You must wear a PFD and a helmet with a face mask. I recommend purchasing a cheap hockey helmet from Second-time Around Sports. For those who do not want to be pushed over (especially if you can not roll), please indicate this by placing a piece of duct tape on the forehead of your helmet. While your team is not playing, at least two members of your team must referee the game in play.
The first day of Polo will be very important for everyone to come to. We will review the rules of kayak polo plus practice some tactics & ball handling as well as play a quick game or two at the end.
Thanks everyone!

In 1999 one of our youth earned a spot on the Canadian National Rodeo Team, and with the help of the Club received sponsorship to attend the World Rodeo Championships held in New Zealand in December 1999.
The Canoe & Kayak Club has been a registered nonprofit organisation in Yukon for over 25 years.
