classV_2.jpg (61203 bytes) The seldom run final drop on the Lapie.  This is just upriver from the steel bridge, and there is a decent path to take you here.  Very Important - do not take your canoe through here!  If low water like you see here, this is a class V drop.   In higher water it's class VI.  It has been run in low water, once by accident.

 

It is narrow, frothy, and quickly constricts to a three foot slot - which would be a VERY bad place to broach.
